The Areas We Cover

We work out of 7303 S Hawes Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212,

  • Leisure World2 mi
  • Alta Mesa Community Association3 mi
  • Val Vista Lakes3 mi
  • Groves3 mi

  • Apache Junction10 mi
  • Sun Lakes16 mi
  • Gold Canyon17 mi
  • Paradise Valley18 mi

The farther jobs - Gold Canyon, Paradise Valley - usually get scheduled in blocks rather than same-day, just because of drive time. If you're in one of the closer pockets like Leisure World or Val Vista Lakes, we can usually work you in faster. When you call, tell us your neighborhood or cross streets so we can give you a real window instead of a guess.

We don't cover every zip code in the Phoenix metro, and we won't pretend otherwise. If you're well outside the areas listed above, ask when you call - we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense for us to come out.

Who You Are Dealing With

Mesa Garage Door Co is a local repair outfit, not a call center that dispatches to whoever's closest. We work on the housing stock actually out here - a lot of it went up between 1985 and 2002, with the median build year around 1991, and it spans four distinct pockets of construction from that era. That means openers, torsion springs, and track hardware from a fairly narrow window of manufacturing years, which we see over and over.

We don't carry a fleet of certifications to list or a founding date to trot out, and we're not going to invent one. What we can tell you is what we work on daily: doors and openers on 1980s-90s builds, in a service area where extreme heat is the main thing that wears out springs, seals, and opener boards faster than in milder climates.

If a job is outside what we handle - say, a structural garage rebuild rather than a door repair - we'll say so rather than take the work anyway.

Contacting Us

Call (520) 200-1979. That's the number that reaches us directly, not a routing service. Have your address ready, along with a quick description of what the door is doing - won't open, opens partway and stops, spring visibly snapped, opener runs but the door doesn't move. That gets you a faster, more accurate estimate over the phone.

We're based at 7303 S Hawes Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212. If you want to see the shop or drop something off, that's the address to use.

We don't publish a flat price list here because torsion spring jobs, opener swaps, and panel repairs price out differently depending on door size and what's actually broken. What we can do on the phone is narrow it down enough that the in-person estimate isn't a surprise.

The Work We Take On

Broken torsion springs, snapped cables, off-track doors, worn rollers, opener failures, and panel damage make up most of our calls. Given how many houses here date to the 1985‑2002 window, we spend a fair amount of time on opener boards and springs that are simply original equipment reaching the end of their life, plus the heat-related wear that speeds all of that up - extreme summer heat is hard on rubber seals, lubricant, and the metal fatigue that eventually snaps a spring.

What we don't do: full structural garage builds, custom architectural door fabrication, or work on doors so far gone that a patch job would just fail again in a few months. If your door needs full replacement instead of repair, we'll tell you that up front rather than charge you for a fix that won't hold. We also won't quote a job sight unseen if the damage sounds unusual - some things need eyes on them before we can say what it'll take.

Do you come out to Leisure World or Val Vista Lakes?

Yes, both are close - Leisure World is about 2 miles east of our location and Val Vista Lakes is about 3 miles southwest. Those are among our shorter drives, so scheduling is usually easier than for jobs farther out like Gold Canyon or Paradise Valley.

How far out do you go - do you cover Gold Canyon or Sun Lakes?

We do go out to Sun Lakes (about 16 miles) and Gold Canyon (about 17 miles), but those trips typically get scheduled in blocks rather than same-day due to drive time. Call and give us your address so we can tell you a realistic window.

My opener is from the early 90s and just quit - is that normal here?

It's common. A lot of houses in this area were built between 1985 and 2002, with the median around 1991, so we regularly see original openers and springs finally giving out after decades of use plus the wear that Mesa's extreme summer heat adds on top.

Do you handle full garage rebuilds or just doors?

Just the door and opener side - springs, cables, tracks, rollers, panels, and opener repair or replacement. We don't do structural garage construction or custom door fabrication, and we'll say so rather than take on work outside that.

Can I get a price over the phone?

We can give you a range once you describe what's wrong - spring, cable, opener, panel - but an exact price usually needs someone to look at the door in person. Call (520) 200-1979 and we'll walk through it with you before scheduling.
